Why, why do you condemn me?
Why can’t you look at me and see normal?
Why do I need to be something I’m not to make you happy?
Why do you feel the need to put me down?
Why do you hate me for the person I love,
For the color of my skin,
Or the way I live my life.
Do you want me to grow up and be angry?
Do you want me to hate every one around me?
Do you want me to condemn you for who you are?
Do you understand what your words are doing to me?
Do I hate you for the person you love,
For the color of your skin,
Or the way you live your life?
What would you do if I fought back?
What would you do if I yelled at you?
What would you do if I told your kids all of the stuff you told me?
What would you do if I killed my self?
What would you do if I went to my school and killed everyone,
If I killed my family,
If I came after your family?
Would you help me if I asked for it?
Would you find me help if I needed it?
Would you be my friend if I needed one?
Would you tell people to stop if they were hurting me?
Would you take the time to look through my eyes,
Walk in my shoes,
Live my life?

Ok so this is the latest poem that I wrote. Um, yeah. I entered it in to a competition, so wish me luck. 
I wrote this through my original character's eyes, and at the same time I was watching the Tyra show(don't ask). I just thought that people could relate to it.
